What Matters?
Rev. Nina Grey will ask us to think about some essentials of our Unitarian Universalist faith and how we do and can support our religious life and our work in the world. How shall we keep our religious focus in the face of challenges? How shall we keep the forest in view when surrounded by many trees?

Sermon: Rev. Ann Tyndall
How's Your Moral Compass?
Rev. Tyndall writes: A parishioner of mine asked what Unitarian Universalists use for a moral compass since we do not have a unified doctrine of God. The question is not so much about having a compass because our Seven Principles serve as our compass. However, what compels us to follow the Principles? I will reflect upon this question and the conversations I had with my parishioner as we reflected together about his question.
Rev. Ann Tyndall is co-parish minister, with her partner, Barbara Pescan, at the Unitarian Church of Evanston. They are in their 7th year there. Prior to coming to Evanston Ann served congregations in Mt. Kisco, NY, Joliet, IL and San Rafael, CA.

Choices We Face
Our religious polity is congregational and our fifth principle asks us to affirm and promote democracy in the life of the congregation and in society at large. Healthy democracy asks much of its citizens. Two days before the March 19 primary elections, we reflect on a life of choice, in its personal and its public dimensions.
