Personal Pools
There are times in life during which we need to shut ourselves off from the
world in order to keep safe or find rest. Other times we feel emboldened to
step out of this comfort zone to take risks and seek connection. Through two
personal stories, I will explore these different aspects of life and also
learn how our church community assists no matter in which place we might
find ourselves.

General Assembly Participants
Co-Leaders: Alex Poinsett and Rev. Nina Grey
Worship Associate: Joan Staples
In total, more than 20 members of our congregation participated in this
year's General Assembly in Cleveland. Four were lay delegates: Alex
Poinsett, Joan Pederson, Allan Lindrup and Anne Jonas. Some were
alternates. Some came for the weekend. Some were representing the
Meadville/Lombard community. We had a great variety of experiences. This
morning several of us will reflect on our insights and learnings.

A Balcony Perspective
A year ago, Nina participated in a UU minister's Leadership conference,
where she and others reflected on the importance of stepping back in
order to see things in a new way. This morning we will think about the
benefits of "a balcony perspective".
