Flower Communion Service
This Flower Is Made of Butterflies
Worship Leaders: Rev. Marlene Walker, Rev. Nina Grey
Worship Associate: Joan Pederson
All are invited to our joyful annual Intergenerational celebration of community. Bring a flower. We join our flowers together in an expression of our diversity in unity, and each person takes away a flower. We will remember Rev. Norbert Capek who, with his wife, created the Flower Communion, now celebrated by Unitarian Universalists all over the world.
This service is the first at which Rev. Marlene Walker, candidate for the position of Minister for Religious Education, will speak. For information about her and Candidating Week, see page 2.

Peacemaking
Worship Leader: Rev. Nina Grey
Worship Associate: Dr. Finley C. Campbell
Our Sixth Principle calls us to work for a world of peace and harmony. As human beings of the 21st century, we need to learn more peaceful ways to resolve conflict and build beloved community. On this Father's Day, we will remember men who have worked for peace and reflect on how we may grow in our capacity to bring more peace, to our hearts, our homes, our workplaces, and our cities.

A Life Well Spent
Worship Leader: Bette Hanna Sikes
Worship Associate: Rosemary Snow
From the perspective of three score and 11 years, Ms. Sikes reflects on how one might define "a life well spent." She challenges us to consider what enables us to look back with pleasure, not regret. Expect to sing.
11:30 am: Bylaw amendments hearing
Bette Hanna Sikes first appeared in the pulpit at First Unitarian in 1954. Since then she has served on this and that council and committee, has sung in the choir, was treasurer for several terms, has produced many newsletters, has preached every few years, and has attended many denominational meetings. She estimates that she has sung hundreds of hymns and known many, many wonderful Unitarian Universalists.
