Senior High Coming of Age Program Participants
Junior High Coming of Age Program Participants

This worship service recognizes and celebrates those junior high and senior high youth who have successfully completed this year's Coming of Age programs. These new programs are meant to provide a means to acknowledge the passage from childhood of the youth of our religious community. The goals are to expose our youth to the history and values of First Unitarian Church as an institution, and of other members of our church; to help them explore the values of their families and their peers; to assist them in the development of their own values as well as their own spiritual path; to challenge them in their personal growth and self-empowerment; and to provide ways to put what they have learned about themselves and others into practice. The participants, mentors, leaders, and families will share their experience of being touched by this program. Rev. Nina D. Grey will acknowledge and affirm the significant achievements of these youth by inviting them to membership in our congregation.

May 28, 2000: In Memory of You

Worship Leader: Rev. Beth Williams

Worship Associate: Rev. Nina D. Grey

Our congregation has a rich history of persons past and present who have left a legacy of meaning to our lives. The influence of those who have gone before us, whether we have known them or not, gets woven into the people we are and who we become. You certainly will always be woven into my life in this way. In this service we will take time to reflect on the nature of this influence. At the beginning of this service we will recognize our volunteer R.E. teachers and youth advisors.

10:15: Last class for Spring term Children's R.E.
