Orientation Session on January 31

The Membership committee will present an Orientation program to help new and prospective members learn about First Unitarian Church on Sunday, January 31 from 11:30 to 1:00 pm in VOV Gallery. A light lunch will be served and childcare will be available. Recent new members and anyone contemplating church membership are warmly invited to attend. The committee has prepared a questionnaire to assist them in planning this and future programs. You may pick up a copy at the Welcome Table during the social hour, or call the church 773/324-4100 to have one mailed to you.

Fellowship Dinner begin this month

A new series of social dinners will begin in January. Formerly known as First Exchange Dinners, these very successful dinners we designed by their creator, Allan Lindrup, to "broaden and deepen our connections with fellow members and friends of our church community." The dinners have been reorganized to relieve some of the burden on the host/hostesses. A membership subcommittee will take over the scheduling and coordinating; the hostess need only provide the welcoming space; the guest will bring the potluck food. A sign-up sheet for both guests and hosts will be available at the Welcome Table during social hour, or call Joan Bernstein 773/624-5136 or Kay Mann 773/224-0209.

Back Issues of UU World

That excellent publication , The UU World, is sent to all church members, but it can take many months to be put on the mailing list. Back issues are available at the Welcome Table in Hull Chapel.
