U.U. Social Concerns Annual Meeting

Once upon a time, Illinois had cumulative voting for its state House of Representatives. There is now a movement to restore cumulative voting for the Illinois General Assembly and initiate it elsewhere. During the first hour of this year’s U.U. Social Concerns annual meeting, Dan Johnson-Weinberger will lead a presentation and discussion of "The Drive to Revive Cumulative Voting." The program was arranged by the organization’s Making Democracy Work Task Force.

The U.U. Social Concerns annual meeting, which will include light refreshments, will be held Sunday, December 6, from 3 to 6 p.m., in Chris Moore Parlor at the First Unitarian Church. Following the program portion of the meeting, the organization’s annual business meeting will take place. All are welcome.
