First Forum is the adult religious education seminar series of First
Unitarian Church. The mission of First Forum is to provide a venue to
explore issues underlying topics of interest in a stimulating and
thought-provoking manner. The format is that of a colloquium presented
by experts on the subject, but the detailed presentation varies with
each speaker. If First Forum excites you, prods you to action, forces
you to reconsider your long-cherished positions, makes you mad, makes
you happy, but most importantly makes you pause and reflect; then it
may have accomplished its mission. First Forum is held most Sundays at
approximately 11:45 AM after the Sunday worship service in the Chris
Moore Parlor. Occasional special presentations have been scheduled at
other times, usually in the evening.

July and August: Open Mike |
|
|
|
|
The First Forum committee is going on vacation for July and August. But, if you hate to see the First Forum's mikes go dark for these two months, you can keep it going either by volunteering yourself to speak on a topic of your choice or by recruiting your favorite speaker on a selected topic. If you want to schedule a First Forum, contact Richard Pardo to sign up for your favorite Sunday. We will make sure your presentation gets advertised, but the rest of the organization is up to you.
