Danielle was born into a Unitarian Universalist family in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Her parents were her first religious educators, modeling involvement in
church life, teaching her brother, sister and her how to meditate and
pray, and encouraging in them a sense of wonder.
Danielle stayed active in Unitarian Universalism through
college, where she discerned a call to religious leadership. At Stonehill,
a Catholic school, she developed a deep respect for and understanding
of Christianity and a sense of how very important her own tradition was
to her.
After college, Danielle worked as a residence hall director and community
service coordinator (among other things) at Lyndon State College in Vermont.
She then knew it was finally time to head off to theological school, which
is how she made her way to Chicago. In June of 2005, Danielle graduated
from Meadville/Lombard Theological School and is excited to pass on a
passion for UUism to another generation.
